Come on an adventure with Ellie, our protagonist from this novel, as together you explore an in-depth study of this novel written by Lauren Wolk

Every lesson and activity is written out for you and easy to follow. Your child will enjoy a soft introduction to the Great Depression era
as well as receive personal letters written by Ellie that teach your child about each herb she used on someone within the book.

Provided are recipes and crafts that will take you back in time as you immerse yourselves in this study as well as a chapter review workbook that gives your child a vocabulary word to work with
each lesson and some fun chapter activities like word search, hangman, matching, coloring, drawing, etc. Print and cursive copywork pages are included as well.

We have made this guide for upper elementary grades 4-5, but it can be modified to be enjoyed by the younger crowd. Keep in mind that this guide contains instances of injury, graphic injuries, and death.
Due to the nature of the included activities, we recommended working through this guide through the spring and summer seasons only.

What I needed

It’s exactly what I needed. I’m terrible at creating worksheets and activities and this has both! It’s also helping my kids remember what they just read and keeps them engaged with the activities to go along with the book. It also has suggestions on other books and games to go with this story!

Beautifully Done

The guide is very beautiful and does a perfect job of expanding a read aloud to provide more context, fun, and thought provoking discussion with my children.
I also love the price of these guides. ❤️

Beautiful product

This guide is perfect for my differently-abled kids. I love the history lessons embedded within the activities. Everything is so hands on and perfect for us. The graphics are wonderful - although my color printer didn't enjoy all the overtime work :) I appreciate the detail you put into this! My kids are going to love doing it this summer! Thank you so much for creating and sharing this resource!!

Riddled with grammatical errors

I never leave bad reviews. I really wanted to love this “literature guide” since we were reading Echo Mountain but it is filled with grammatical errors, incoherent and is hard to even read. I brought it to the creators attention and instead of fixing it (it’s been 14 days since I purchased and not it’s still not corrected) she told me it was worth more then the $8 I paid. Honestly, I’m not sure she is capable of fixing if it was written so poorly to begin with. It was a huge waste of money and completely unusable. I printed out the first week, read through and then discarded the entire thing. Avoid if you haven’t purchased.

Thank you for your honest review.
We have just updated the guide after battling Covid for a while, so our apologies for the delay. We did have the guide edited by a physical person rather than a software program. Lots of love to you onward with your homeschooling journey.
